Charity Events
Throughout the year Wallis and Associates participates in numerous charity fundraising events. To see what we've been up to recently, please take a few moments to browse our Community Album.

Fundraisers
Wallis Massage Therapy is committed to being an active member of the community by supporting local and national charities through fundraising events. Our team general holds 2 major fundraisers per year. Over the past 7 years our Warm Hand, Warming Hearts Campaign has provided 1/2 hour massage/reflexology treatments for a discounted rate and donated all proceeds to a worthy charity. These events are filled with lots of fund, food, and relaxation.

HELP....My Band-Aid Won't Stick The Wallis Team is thrilled to announce a Pilot Program for 3 schools in the Peel Board of Education...HELP...My Band-Aid Won't Stick. This educational, fun and interactive program for teachers and children will help to promote healthier and more active lifestyles.

Fitness Training Program Wallis for Wellness has also launched a fitness and training program for young athletes. A pilot project has been introduced to the Brampton Intra-City Atom Sharpshooters Hockey Team.

Speaking Engagements
Our team can be seen in the community offering educational seminars on the various benefits of massage and stress reduction. We have spoken for various groups—YMCA, Community Living, Region of Peel Health Department, Schools, Hospitals, Volunteer Associations, Mom/Baby Groups, Bereavement Groups and Homes for the Aged.

Co-operative Education
Co-operative Education employers are expected to provide the student with an educational experience focusing on the attitudes and behaviours of an employee, particular to their workplace. Wallis & Associates always gives their students the opportunity to participate in all aspects of their clinic and off-site activities. After students become familiar with the operations and procedures at the clinic they can observe and experience massage treatments, hydrotherapy, reflexology, pediatric and infant massage, acupuncture treatments, pedorthic assessments, and participate in Massage Therapy Workshops. Students are also included events off-site such as presentation made on Cityline with Marilyn Dennis on CityTV, the Morning Teas with various guest speakers, and Infant Massage classes in the City of Vaughn. They also have the opportunity to learn the skills involved in running a fast-paced, vibrant business. Margaret Wallis is always willing to schedule regular visits with the monitoring teacher to assess the students progress and provide feed-back in a positive manner, while suggesting adjustments and improvements.
