Since the new year, I had been having some trouble getting back on my wellness track and so I decided to do a food and water log and a general daily journal to help me stay focussed! Here is the daily journal of my last 9 days!!!….
Day 1: Well, I’m off to a good start! I treated patients in the morning, ran some errands in the afternoon and had family arrive in the evening from out of town. Kept very busy and have been keeping an eye on my FitBit stats (which is quite motivating seeing those steps accumulate!!). Prepared a super yummy and healthy supper but did splurge with a large and “delic” caffeinated coffee!! All goooood!
Day 2: Had clinic hours and loved every moment. Treated amazing individuals, some of who are on their own wellness journeys! – Very inspirational!! Kept busy, drank lots of water, ate very well (but did have that coffee – with honey! Mmmmm…) Also, have family staying with me, but so far, I haven’t over-indulged. (Whew!)
Day 3 & 4: The weekend! Still having family visiting. Need I say more? Probably ate a bit too much and also had a couple of glasses of vino! As if that wasn’t enough, I topped it off with a gluten-free chocolate cupcake with frosting!! Over the weekend I admit to also eating a “Turtle” – no, not a real one!!! (Although a real one would have been a much better source of protein!!!!) I also need to increase my water intake!…. FitBit stats are looking good!
Day 5: Back on track! Improved water intake! FitBit logged a LOT of steps! Yay!
Day 6 & 7: FitBit logged a lot of steps again! Busy at work. Did well with water intake. Did a double cleanse day. All is well!
Day 8: Am feeling GREAT! Had company for dinner but ate healthy and delicious food and did NOT over-indulge!! Kept active but FitBit battery died so I’m not sure how I did compare to other days. Drank lots of water and have planned lots of fun activities for the upcoming few weeks to keep my family active and busy! Should be fun!
Day 9: Took a peek at the scale – down 5 lbs! (even after that Turtle – HA!) Still drinking coffee but am doing well with the water consumption and activity level. I am feeling very good and am motivated and energized!! Stay tuned!!!!…..
Overall, I think this log was a great exercise to help me along my journey. I think I may just do another one!…
