A pedorthist is an individual trained in the assessment, design, manufacture and modification of custom-made foot orthotics and the clinical fitting and modification of footwear.

Custom-made foot orthotics can help to:
  • alleviate painful or debilitating conditions of the lower limb
  • improve balance
  • accommodate foot deformities that are inherited or as a result from an injury


Services available include:
  • an in-depth clinical assessment
  • a biomechanical gait analysis
  • footwear evaluation, education and recommendation(s) appropriate to your biomechanical and lifestyle needs
  • create a 3-dimensional cast of your feet if orthotics are required
  • footwear modifications
Custom-made foot orthotics and properly selected footwear can be used to treat a variety of conditions and deformities that affect the lower limb, including:
  • plantar fasciitis
  • neuromas
  • bunions
  • patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS)
  • metatarsalgia
  • shin splints
  • leg length discrepancy
