In-Clinic Seminars and Classes
This two hour hands-on workshop teaches couples some practical tools to help manage pain during the labour and delivery process.

Learn how to communicate your love through touch. This powerful and practical workshop consists of three one hour sessions of instruction. With your baby, you will learn the benefits of infant massage, infant cues, and hands on techniques to help with sleep, gas/colic, and bonding.

This interactive workshop will help to ease the difficult transition as your family begins to grow. Teaching simple massage techniques to your older child helps to empower them in the care of their new sibling and improve their self-esteem. As a result the bond between the children is strengthened and sibling rivalry is diminished. Massage techniques for older children are also covered in this workshop to teach you how you can help them relax into this new lifestyle and make them feel loved.
Bring your "bundle of joy" and join us for a series of casual and informative social teas with a variety of guest speakers and a wide range of topics related to children and families. Teas are typically held on Friday mornings from 10:30-11:30am for a nominal fee of $12.00. Don't forget to check out the schedule of upcoming topics!
Ready! Set! Stroll & Go! - Mom and Baby Exercise Class
This fun and effective outdoor exercise series is a big hit with new moms. Enjoy the outdoors and the company of other moms while you stroll back into shape after having your baby. This 60 minute class is taught by our physiotherapist, Jennifer Lusby, and includes aerobic activity, toning, stretching, socializing and discussion. This 3 hour workshop is instructed by a Registered Massage Therapist and includes both a theoretical and practical approach to learning massage. The couple will learn how to perform a full body relaxation massage safely and effectively on one another. Massage can help a busy couple calm down their hectic routine and reconnect with one another, or help partners' ease each other's symptoms related to various illnesses (i.e. arthritis, headaches, etc.)

Pilates is a form of non-impact exercise that focuses on the entire core area, working the abdominals, back and lower body. Pilates helps build abdominal strength, improve balance and posture and increase flexibility. One hour pilates classes provided by Jodi Livingstone, owner of Jodi Livingstone's Pilates, are being held in our Education Center. Offerings include: Pilates for all levels, Mom and Baby Pilates, Yoga Fusion, a mixture of Yoga and Pilates. Individual coaching and group workshops in Personal and Professional Empowerment are provided by Faith Orlando of Orlando Coaching. Personal sessions are made by appointment. Give your child the gift of early communication. Join us and guest speaker, Elyza Polsky B.A., B.Ed., Specialist--Deaf Education, for a 6 week workshop designed to teach parents and babies how to learn and practice new signs using songs, stories, and games. This hands on workshop is an excellent way to learn techniques to help cope with symptoms related to conditions like arthritis, fibromyalgia, and cancer. Massage is a wonderful way to empower family members or health care providers in the care of the terminally ill.
