What to expect!

The goal of custom-made foot orthotics is to alleviate stress and pain of the feet and lower limbs. A certified pedorthist is a health care professional who is trained and certified in the assessment, design, manufacture, fit, and modification of foot orthotics and the fitting and modification of footwear
Paula Toye, our resident Certified Pedorthist would welcome the opportunity to work with you.
Patients are required to bring in a physician’s referral with a medical diagnosis, 2-3 pairs of footwear most frequently worn and a pair of shorts. The initial assessment is 45 minutes which includes:

Patient history

In-depth biomechanical assessment (weight-bearing, non-weight bearing, and range of motion tests)

Gait analysis

Footwear evaluation
-
Education and Recommendations
A 3-dimensional casting of the feet if orthotics are recommended. The fitting of the orthotics and follow up appointments are 30 minutes.
